Stories of Place 11 March 2026 Making Hour

Rebekah transformed the lab space into zones for foraging, researching, designing and making so we could create habitats for bugs, insects and minibeasts. Everyone got stuck in!

Rebekah also invited us to play and have fun by taking photos of our activities from the imagined perspectives of bugs and insects: ‘buggies’ (a bug-sized ‘selfie’)! The buggies were to help us document the session and to maintain our connection to thinking about our other-than-human kin. Holly channelled their inner-insect and took fabulous photos to tell the story of our session - creatively capturing a bugs-eye-view of many different moments. In the midst of our making we also listened to soundscapes from the natural world, to immerse ourselves in our activities..!
